Portuguese National Conference

The National Conference, "Fakeshare: Partners in combating illegal drug marketing on the internet", aimed at Consumer Associations and Partners, has as its main objective the promotion of Fakeshare project at national level, particularly in terms of its context release, activities, and tools already developed and to be developed, to combat illegal marketing of medicines over the internet.

The risks of counterfeit medicines, as well as the presentation of www.fakeshare.eu site, dedicated to sharing information and research between the competent authorities involved in combating counterfeiting, are the opening themes of this conference.

The presentation of the framework, which involves various activities, particularly in terms of Directive 2011/62 / EU, will provide an opportunity to review the implementation of this Directive in Portugal and other European countries.

Due to the importance of the practical aspect in research and combating counterfeit drugs, this conference is still an opportunity to get to know co-ordinated action of international entities such as EMA and cooperation between various Portuguese organizations, including Infarmed and the Tax and Customs Authority, with respect to the control of the import of fake drugs and fake alerts.

Also under the more practical aspects related to combating counterfeit medicines, the conference will conclude, with the presentation of communication, in terms of "alerts" and campaigns already developed, both in terms of the communication strategy to be developed under the project Fakeshare.
