Fake medicines ring smashed in Hong Kong

Hong Kong’s Customs & Excise Department conducted a successful strike-and-search operation in the Kwun Tong and Ngau Tau Kok districts resulting in the seizure of an estimated 400,000 counterfeit pills. The wholesales syndicate was suspected of storing for sale counterfeit medicines, poisons and pharmaceutical products. The 49-year-old man who headed the operation was arrested.
