Man admits he smuggled $1.1 million in counterfeit male enhancement drugs like Viagra and Cialis from China
Robert Ernest Lohr, 72, signed a plea agreement in Tampa, Florida. Lohr smuggled thousands of knockoff Viagra and Cialis pills into the United States from China. His website offered unsuspecting consumers two brand-name erectile dysfunction pills at a discounted rate. He also advertised various other drugs to treat high blood pressure, depression, acid reflux and high cholesterol. No court hearings have been set but the single count of conspiracy can carry a sentence of up to five years. Lohr will also need to forfeit over $900,000 in alleged proceeds.
