Now, IPA protests against online pharmacies to DCGI
The Indian Pharmacist Association (IPA) wrote to the Drugs Controller General of India (DCGI) with their concern over allowing online pharmacies in India as an effort to protect the public interest. The IPA is not the first to do so as the All India Organization of Chemists and Druggists (AIOCD), representing over 700,000 retail druggists in India, also oppose the online sales of medicines. Sources at the AIOCD have commented that they are still waiting to hear back from the DCGI regarding the issue.
