Russia dabbles big time in fake pharma

Illegal online prescription drug sales have become a lucrative business for criminals that are now focusing on Russia. In 2006 it was estimated that the Russian market was worth approximately $250-300 million according to the Russian Health and Social Protection Minister at that time. It is now thought to be worth anywhere between $70-200 billion. The message to consumers purchasing medications online is to be cautious and stay away from websites offering a price that is too good to be true.
