In response to a question asking if ordering Crestor from Canadian pharmacies is safe and legitimate, Dr. John Torres said using online or mail order pharmacies is definitely “Caveat Emptor.” The report said that for a variety of reasons the FDA does not monitor or inspect out-of-country pharmacies like the ones in Canada, and it told of the VIPPS program and LegitScript as sources to find a “seal of approval” for online pharmacies.
