The AEMPS has warned against the health risks of buying medicines in online marketplaces and classified advertising over the internet and mobile applications. The AEMPS has advised Spanish consumers that these drugs don't have the necessary health guarantees and don't comply with the spanish legislation, so that suppose "a significant risk to the health of citizens." From 2013 to 2015, as a consequence of several complaints of Autonomous Communities and Professional Associations, the AEMPS has requested the withdrawal of ads which sell medicines between private parties and are hosted in platforms such as Milanuncios and Wallapop.
