BAO Operation

A clandestine laboratory has been dismantled in Seville (Spain) by the Civil Guard, as part of the operation BAO. The lab was producing two kinds of medicines: one for obesity treatment and other for erectile dysfunction treatment, for further distribution to a large number of people in Spain and Portugal. J.A.L.C. (32), who had a craft laboratory without sanitary conditions in his own house where he stored large quantities of active substances, excipients and manufacture equipment, has been detained. Also, after a careful analysis over the Internet, the advertising of different products, with different names, for the treatment of obesity and erectile dysfunction was detected on several websites and especially in forums, all of them related to the same person. Investigations revealed that all the substances, equipment and express shipments had the same address, which increased suspicions that this person develops medicines in his own house.
