Deadline nears on EU logo for online pharmacies

Effective July 1, 2015, online pharmacies in the EU must register and display a common logo on their website. This new requirement is just one in a series of measures of the EU Falsified Medicines Directive (FMD) that aims to protect patients’ health. It is up to the various member states within the EU to enforce the requirement. The logo, which hyperlinks to the UK Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) list of registered online sellers, must be displayed on every page of the online pharmacy’s website.
