Nobody Understands How Bad Fake Drugs Really Are

A new UC San Diego School of Medicine report examines the public health threat that counterfeit drugs pose. The existing marketplace both online and offline offers an abundance of drug deception. The World Health Organization (WHO) reports that 33% of identified counterfeit drugs contain no active ingredients, while more than 20% either have incorrect quantities of active ingredients or contain the wrong ingredients.
