Online OTC drug sales prescribed for China’s healthcare industry

China’s Food and Drug Administration announced plans to roll out regulations governing prescription drug sales online. China had banned the sale of prescription medications online in 2004, primarily due to safety concerns over product authenticity. This latest ecommerce attempt aims to help reduce the high cost of prescription drugs.
