Italian National Conference

The National Conference, aimed at Italian enforcement authorities, deals with the activities carried out and the tools, already adopted and to be developed, regarding the illegal selling of medicines on the internet.

The public website www.fakeshare.eu and its restricted area, dedicated to the sharing of information and investigation data between professionals, are the subject of the introductive session of the Conference. A presentation of the socio-structural and attitudinal variables that can induce the intention of buying medicines online follows, presenting the results of a survey conducted in Italy, Spain and Portugal.

With regard to the regulatory framework in which the Italian enforcement authorities operate, the Conference is an opportunity to examine the EU Directive 2011/62 and its transposition at a national level, in respect of the Member States (MS) involved in the Fakeshare project.

Because of the practical approach of the enforcement authorities to the phenomenon of illegal selling of medicines on the internet, the Conference also gives the opportunity to face real cases and practical exercises, after providing them with the necessary knowledge on internet governance.
